Inside Housing Management has launched a survey asking frontline social housing staff about the aspects of their work that they enjoy and how it adds value to society.
Do you work directly with social housing residents? Which elements of your work do you enjoy most? And how do you think your role makes a positive difference in society?
Following a previous survey into housing officers’ biggest concerns, Inside Housing Management is now asking housing officers, housing managers and other members of social housing frontline staff why their work matters to themselves, social housing tenants and the wider society.
The responses will help inform a new Inside Housing Management campaign shouting about the important role played by frontline staff in society, the value of the jobs they do and to help promote careers in the sector.
All answers will be anonymous.

Inside Housing Management’s ‘Housing officers’ top priorities revealed’ article exposed the huge pressures facing frontline housing staff on a daily basis. This was based on a survey of more than 600 workers.
Despite these huge pressures, our respondents talked passionately about their roles and how they contribute to the communities they work in.
Inside Housing Management is now digging deeper into this to find out the best aspects of working in social housing and how people in the sector feel their work adds value to society.
The new survey is open to any members of staff who regularly interact with tenants, residents, customers or service users.
This includes, but is not limited to, housing officers and managers; anti-social behaviour or tenancy sustainment specialists; care and support professionals; repairs and maintenance operatives; and people working in financial inclusion, social value or tenant engagement.
Entrants will be eligible for a £100 prize draw for either an Amazon voucher or a donation to a charity of your choice.
The deadline to complete the survey is Friday 9 May.
Inside Housing Management is the go-to source for learning, information and ideas for housing managers.
